Osoyoos is home to a lot of wildlife and greenery, including acres of orchards. In April, the valleys and hills are engulfed in white and colours orchard trees. Interested in Canadian and Native American history? The Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre offers both culture and heritage of the Okanagan native community. The Centre offers galleries, education displays, and exhibits. After March it is open Tuesday to Saturday.

Osoyoos is located in the South Okanagan region and is home to numerous biking and hiking trails. Spend a day traveling along the winding roads that surround the many wineries. Hiking gives you the opportunity to experience the amazing plant and wildlife in the area. If you’re more into biking, there are a few bicycle tour packages available in the area to take.

A visit to a South Okanagan winery is a must if you’re staying in Osoyoos. During the Spring, several wineries in the area are by appointment only or have set hours. Fishing
Fishing is a go in the Spring. Thanks to the warmer weather in the region, Osoyoos Lake warms up much earlier than other parts of Canada, making it the ideal place for fishing. You can expect to find it full of sockeye salmon and rainbow trout.
